“The Coming War”
by Art Sadlier
October 1st, 2012

A war in the Mideast is inevitable; it is just the timing that is in question. Israel must prevent Iran from destroying her with nuclear weapons. Iran is close to developing nuclear bombs to fulfill their commitment of annihilating the Jewish state.

Iran does not fear an Israeli attack; in fact they seem to be encouraging it. Iran believes that an Israeli attack would unite the Islamic nations under the Iranian banner in a war against Israel. Iran’s leaders believe that a major war would hasten the appearance of the Mahdi, who they believe will bring Islam victory over the entire world.

It is now clear that Israel stands alone against Iran; they are very unlikely to receive American help.

If the attack happens prior to the US elections, Obama will then be under electoral pressure to help Israel. Once the election is over Obama would likely block an attack on Iran indefinitely. The

Israelis are well aware of this scenario.

In a late report debkafile reveals the sabotage of the Fordo uranium enrichment facility’s power lines on Aug. 17 gave Israel Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu extra leeway to move his original red line for Iran from late October 2012, now to the spring or early summer of 2013.

Our military sources report that the advantage gained is already proving short-lived. Iran has pounced back fast with two aggressive counter-moves on Israel’s doorstep; 1. Thousands of elite Al Qods Brigades officers and men are being airlifted into Lebanon and Syria and deployed opposite Israeli borders.

2. Shortly before the Israeli Prime Minister rose to speak in New York, Syrian President Bashar Assad again removed chemical weapons out of storage. Some were almost certainly passed to the incoming Iranian units.

Both Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak have repeatedly stated that the transfer of chemical weapons to Hezbollah would necessitate Israeli military action.

The fact remains that there are a number of signs that this war is imminent. In a recent article there were 19 signs given to clearly indicate that Israel is preparing for war. Each of these signs gives credible evidence that war is at hand.

The differences between Obama and Netanyahu on this issue are set in stone. Netanyahu stated, “The fact is that every day that passes Iran gets closer and closer to nuclear bombs. The world tells Israel, wait there is still time; and I say wait for what? Wait until when?”

Obama’s response was to snub Netanyahu by cancelling his meeting with Netanyahu in New York. Then he proceeded to refer to Netanyahu’s call for a red line against Iran nuclear program as, “Noise that is out there.”

That has left Netanyahu with stark choice, go it alone or surrender to Iran’s nuclear program.

Debkafile reported, “For two weeks, the Israeli prime minister has dodged and ducked around the White House message. Instead, he has kept on bombarding Washington with high-powered messengers. They all came back with the same tidings: the US President is not only fed up with Israeli pressure but more determined than ever to evade any military engagement with Iran.”

In the meantime there is no end to Iran’s threats to destroy Israel. Not only are the Iranians threatening to destroy Israel, they are actively preparing to do it. Iran is pouring Iranian troops into Syria.

Debkafile reports, “Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has leapt into the Syrian battle arena, undertaking the task of transforming the Alawite Shabbiha militia.

For this project, a massive Iranian airlift of personnel and weapons is running daily from IRGC air bases in Iran into Syria.

They are carrying large numbers of IRGC and al Qods military officers and instructors, as well as enough arms to distribute to the Shabbiha combatants during their training and after they go out on field operations.”

Israel is now faced with a growing Iranian army on her northern border. Iran is also working on Israel’s southern border. “Hamas leader Mahmoud A-Zahar and deputy commander of its military arm, Marwan Issa, finalized and signed protocols covering a binding commitment by the radical Hamas rulers of the Gaza Strip to join Iran, Syria and Hezbollah in a war on Israel,” debkafile’s exclusive military sources disclose.

For placing itself under Tehran’s jackboot, Hamas was assured of the resumption of Iranian economic aid and fresh supplies of missiles, advanced hi-tech war equipment to improve the accuracy of its rocket attacks on Israel.

Another dangerous scenario is the possible use of Chemical and biological weapons against Israel by Syria. The presence of Iranian troops in Syria could be used to assist both Hezbollah and Syrian forces in using these weapons. Remember these weapons were prepared for the sole purpose of attacking Israel.

In an interview conducted from the safety of Turkey, former Syrian Major-General Adnan Sillu said he defected three months ago after participating in a meeting held at Syria's chemical weapons center. Sillu confirmed the regime had considered providing such weapons to the Lebanon-based Hezbollah terrorist organization.

Another movement forecast in Psalm 83 is the present move by the Muslim Brotherhood to bring down King Hussein in Jordan. Jordan is listed as one of the countries that will come against Israel in the war of Psalm 83. Unless the king is neutralized Jordan is unlikely to go to war against Israel. The fall of Hussein would change that situation.

In the background, an armada of ships from 25 nations is in the Persian Gulf to prevent Iran from blocking the flow of oil in the event of war.

The inescapable fact is that Iran is growing in military strength, is gaining strategic advantage and getting bolder by the day. We need to remember that Iran will not be directly involved in the war of Psalm 83, according to the scriptures.

Perhaps an EMP or an economic collapse will neutralize Iran? Iran will be directly involved in the later war of Ezekiel 38-39. An exchange of EMP attacks could account for the seeming more primitive warfare of the war of Ezekiel 38-39.

It is my understanding from scripture that this coming war will be the war of Psalm 83. I could be wrong; this could be a war that precedes Psalm 83. To me that would appear to be unlikely, it seems that the scenario is so fully in place and that this will be a war of great magnitude.

The scriptures give a detailed account of events leading up to the war of Psalm 83. In verse 12 we have a description of that which is now happening, “Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.” Today the Palestinians are claiming the Temple Mount in Jerusalem as belonging to them.

In the Ezekiel account of this same war we see the same thing. “Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because the enemy hath said against you, Aha, even the ancient high places are ours in possession” (Ezekiel 36:2). And also in verse 5 we read, “Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all their heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey.” This is a prophecy that is being fulfilled today, it describes the attempt to drive Israel off her land, and it is a description of that which precedes the war of Psalm 83.

During his speech to the UN on September 26, Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi stated, "The world should resolve the Palestinian issue first.

A (Palestinian) state must be built with Jerusalem as its capital.”

This has been the demand of Islam for sixty years; it is motivated by a fanatical drive to remove Israel from Jerusalem and her land. The stage is set for this war to take place.

We have a further description of events before this war in Psalm 83:4-5, “They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee.” Last week Hamas signed a binding agreement with Iran to join Hezbollah and Syria in a war against Israel. These are fulfilled prophecies and they indicate the war in question is at hand.

The scriptures also give us an account of the results of this war. We read in the passages that deal with this war that the Lord will bring a devastating and destruction upon these enemies of Israel. We read in Isaiah 17 that Damascus will be obliterated. We read in Ezekiel 35:6-7 that those who have sought the blood of Israel will have their blood shed, “Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: sith thou hast not hated blood, even blood shall pursue thee. Thus will I make mount Seir most desolate, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth.” The Palestinians are the descendants of the Edomites and they have in recent years pursued the blood of the Jews, God will shed their blood in this coming war.

When this war takes place the world will be shaken by the results and the way in which God intervenes. It also seems that an imminent great economic collapse will take place, no doubt brought on by the war. I suspect that the climate will be set for the world to seek peace and safety. Conditions will be set for the peace treaty of Daniel 9:27 and the appearance of Antichrist.

I believe events that are now unfolding are in line with Bible prophecy. I have repeatedly dealt with this war because I believe it is like a flashing red light on the near horizon.

I would also remind you that the rapture is a sign less event that could take place prior to this war, during this war or after it. We only know that it will happen prior to the tribulation period.

Our world is today involved in an awesome rebellion against God and His Word. Today whatever God says in His Word is totally rejected. Whether it is marriage or the homosexual agenda or Israel or whatever, if God demands it, men reject it. Psalm 2:1-3 describes our world, “Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.”

The hour is late; our God defying world is tempting the Lord to bring judgment upon it.
