“Is God Finished Dealing With Israel?”
by Art Sadlier
April 11th, 2011

What does the God say in His Word about His future dealings with Israel?

Jeremiah 31:28 “And it shall come to pass, that like as I have watched over them, to pluck up, and to break down, and to throw down, and to destroy, and to afflict; so will I watch over them, to build, and to plant, saith the LORD.”

Jeremiah 31:35-37 “Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name: If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me forever. Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD.” These promises are not to the Church but to Israel, to the seed and to the nation.

Jeremiah 32:37-42  “Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, whither I have driven them in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely: And they shall be my people, and I will be their God: And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me forever, for the good of them, and of their children after them: And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me. Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul. For thus saith the LORD; Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.” This promise cannot be related to the Church, such claims are absurd.

Jeremiah 32:43-44 “And fields shall be bought in this land, whereof ye say, It is desolate without man or beast; it is given into the hand of the Chaldeans. Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe evidences, and seal them, and take witnesses in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains, and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south: for I will cause their captivity to return, saith the LORD.” Again, it is absurd to claim these promises are related to the Church.

Paul also has something to say on this matter. Romans 11:1-2 “I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel saying.” God foreknew the Israelis who would respond to Him in obedience and faith and He also foreknew those Israelis who would be unbelieving and disobedient.

Romans 11:11-12 “I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?” This is plain language that is easily understood.

Romans 11:15  “For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?”

Romans 11:25-29  “For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. (That is until the Church is completed and raptured out of the world) And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the father's sakes. For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.”

Zechariah 13:8-9  “And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.” This is the ultimate consumation of all God's dealings with Israel.

God is not through with chastening Israel, the most severe time of Israel’s chastening lies immediately ahead of her. God will fulfil His promises to Israel; the enemy would like us to belief that God cannot be trusted. He would like all to believe that Israel cannot trust God’s promises and if Israel cannot trust God then neither can we. Satan is the liar not God.

These are but a small sampling of the many scriptures that teach this great truth.

Let us be forever done with the false teaching that the promises to Israel can be transferred to the Church. Human opinion has no place to stand before the Word of God. Satan has always sought to discredit God's Word, he is the source of this particular attack.
